Planning Board

Elected at Town Meeting. Five full members, with one member elected to a five year term each year, and two alternate members elected each year to a one year term.

The Planning Board issues Conditional Use Permits, conducts Subdivision Review, and is generally responsible for the development and maintenance of the Land Use Ordinance, Subdivision Ordinance and Comprehensive Plan.

Meetings

The Planning Board generally meets on the first Wednesday of every month at 7:30pm and meetings with the Planning Board require a prior appointment, but all meetings are open to the public. On occasion, the Planning Board will hold Special Meetings or Public Hearings. The dates, times and reasons for these will be posted: 1) in newspapers of common circulation within the town of Lovell, 2) at the Town Office, and 3) in the Town's Web Site's 'What's New' and 'Special Notices' sections.
